Italy, Florence (Firenze)

Many of you might be wondering how we planned our 1 month pre-honeymoon Europe trip. Well we simply planned our trip to move up north from where we landed. Looking at google map and planning each city definitely saved us so much time deciding which city we should stop over for the entire month.

Just a train ride away from Rome is Florence, or Firenze as the locals call it. Apart from Santorini, this is my next favourite city in the entire Europe trip. Florence is such a beautiful city with really friendly people and great great shopping.

Through the 4 days we spent in Florence, we visited most of the top rated restaurants on Tripadvisor however Osteria Cipolla Rossa was dabomb!! Everything on their menu was mouth watering - even their roasted potatoes is to die for I swear. This is a definitely must-visit restaurant in Florence!

Next up, we visited Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, Ponte di Rialto bridge and Michelangelo's David - these are some places you wouldn't want to miss when travelling at Florence! I particularly like Rialto bridge because it was simply so romantic!

Last but not least, if you are a big lover of high end brands such as Prada and Miu Miu, you are in for a surprise. Just 30 mins away from Florence is the famous Prada Space outlet at Montevarchi town. The outlets there were OMGAWD! Reason being, the outlets carries classic designs (not the usual off-season designs) as well as upcoming collections - I found out that I scored a new season Prada wallet when I returned to Singapore that was just launched! They also have extremely poshed italian men all dressed up in suits to serve you in these outlets (eye candies) and extremely helpful!

THE BEST DEAL IS - I was shocked to find out prices there are 40%-70% off normal prices. For example, I bought a bag for my Mum for $300euros, and realised when I came back that the Prada boutique at Ion was selling at $1390. I bought some Prada card holders for only $50euros and boyfriend bought a Prada polo tee for $60euros when the boutique are selling these at between $200 - $500!! WTF RIGHT. After this trip, I never stepped into any Prada boutiques thereafter knowing prices are so dirt cheap at Montevarchi. I would totally fly in to Florence just to shop at the Prada outlet - totally worth it in my opinion (:

I know Im such a lucky girl, and I count my blessings everyday.

Meanwhile, don't forget to check out Dopestreet's upcoming collection this week - an exciting collaboration with Maybelline New York! We've got more than 60 gift hampers to give away! SHOP RIGHT AWAY!
